Extending the Life of Work Boots on the Job Site

A short, practical guide from the Queenievaro Co. workbench.

Rotate two pairs

Boots need roughly 24 hours to dry out internally. Alternating two pairs can more than double the working life of both.

Lace and eyelet care

Broken eyelets and stretched laces let the boot move on your foot, which accelerates crease wear and heel counter collapse. Both are cheap to fix.

Watch the flex crease

The crease across the ball of the foot is where leather cracks first. Conditioning that band specifically, rather than the whole boot evenly, pays off.

Recraft before failure

A boot sent in while the upper is still sound can be fully recrafted. One sent in after the upper cracks usually cannot.

When to bring it to us

Maintenance you can do at home extends the life of good footwear, but structural wear needs a bench. If you are unsure which one you are looking at, call (720) 499-9302 or send photos and we will tell you honestly.
